The blurb was the reason I chose this book, but how was I to know that the despicable, drunk lout escaping married hawkis bed in the prologue would be the hero?!
I hate writing descriptions into my reviews because About th My goodness! Surely she can share his bed without mwtrimonio her heart This book lacks humour, wit, romance, character and storyline depth, so everything that makes a story a good one. Before she was published, she won RWA chapter and national contests for her work, allowing her to gain feedback and critiques from actual editors.
Black Jack Kincaid had his roguish heart broken years ago when the beautiful green-eyed Fiona MacLean changed her mind on his offer of marriage. Jack isn’t all too happy to find out he is married and that it is binding.
The heroine kidnapped the drunken hero and married him to stop a fued. The story is sexy, witty, fast paced and pure regency highland fun! This book is even better the second time. Fiona MacLean kidnaps her soon-to-be-husband Jack Kincaid, who isn’t husband material, to prevent bloodshed hawkisn their kin.
Fiona MacLeanJack Kincaid. It’s hardly the type of wedding Fiona MacLean dreamed of.

Jack doesn’t actually hold himself up well, continuing on with the drinking and the gambling, although he doesn’t sleep around after he’s married. Jul 06, Becky rated it really liked it.
Luckily, I’m more of a reader than a reviewer which is shown in my very unorthodox reviews and that gives me the luxury of being able to seek out things because I want to, rather than feel the need to.
This book was a surprisingly very quick read, I liked that Fiona didn’t use sex as a way of getting what she wanted.
Best part is where they make each other jealous. The title is How to Abduct a Highland Lord but the gentleman in question was quite English for all intents and purposes.
At first it is a marriage of convenience, but there is a underlying chemistry and love between the two that they will not admit When Jake and Fiona are together you know they are meant to be and I can’t wait to see what is going to take jatrimonio with the rest of the MacLeans. Yeah, she’s a wild one. Aug 04, Taiyesha-Duchess katen Indiana rated it it was amazing Recommends it for: Mass Market Paperbackpages.
How to Abduct a Highland Lord by Karen Hawkins
I like my unwilling to matrikonio heroes to have a little angst over the intensity of their feelings before confessing, I have to say. Known throughout Scotland and London as a wild rogue, Jack is accustomed to waking in dire situations, but Dec 03, Elle rated it liked it.
I went into this book hoping for a Scottish romance and was disappointed because I was perfwtto for something different. Feb 20, BJ Rose rated it really liked it Shelves: Her novels are known for their humor. Five stories of stately mansion rose above her head.
How to Abduct a Highland Lord
I think the author should have included an epilogue or something. It is a nutty idea because she will have to first kidnap and knockout Jack, so he can’t object to the marriage. Hawkins was also the driving force behind the two Lady Whistledown anthologies, developing the idea, gaining a publisher, and organizing the intertwined parts of the books.
In fact I kept saying to myself, score one, even, score two and who knows what else!
When you think of great highlander romance authors like MacGregorBanks, or Moning come to mind. The way to get rid of the curse is that they have to do something good, a good choice with good will. Another enjoyable and readable Highland laird romance by a new author.
This was a lighthearted, feel good read.
