And the story moved at a snails pace. Lists with This Book. Still love this series all these years later! Cymbra is strong willed, passionate and protective. She has also brought two of her trusty servants along. Awakened was published on January 12, However, we never actually know.

Krysta is going to — wait for it — wait for it — disguise herself.

Everything is different, first off this book is set is Essex, much less steam, no sparks between Hawk and Krysta and finally very predicable. The action and the tension between the two slows quite a bit in places but ,itton the story is charming and I can recommend it. Inevitably, true love triumphs, but the peace forged by their fortuitous union is precarious. One of my main complaints about the book iosie the dialect. He is eager to meet his new bride that has been arranged because kitton does want peace between the Saxons and the Vikings.

Indeed, Litton’s next novel, Dream Islandis already in the hopper for February And as an unexpected love ignites, only Krysta can sense the looming danger that threatens the peace — and Hawk iin well. I hate when authors keep writing the same internal dialogue over and over. Cymbra can “feel” others’ pain sometimes and is an intuitive healer, while Krysta has the background of a mermaid-shapeshifter mother.

He was so far beyond her dreams, so much more than she could ever have hoped for. I’m planning on reading book 3.

Book Review-Dream of Me/Believe In Me by Josie Litton – Addicted To Romance

Nicola rated it it was ok Jun 16, Now for book twoBelieve In Me. Litton delivers, worthy of a permanent place on my book shelves. Their relationship isn’t perfect but I truly adored Krysta.

Just a moment while we sign you in to your Goodreads account. Unfortunately, because I was so enamored with book 1’s representation of the Viking lore and how it intertwined with the love story, I found myself frustrated with book 2’s sparse Saxon representation.

Cymbra’s beauty and generosity tamed him at first sight and I just didn’t buy it, I guess. I enjoyed this book and I loved Hawk, the hero. They sounded way too modern in the way they spoke. Book Three is coming in May. I don’t know, put a leaning on which belief system was the better. When fierce Norse chief Wolf Hakonson receives a scathing response to his offer of peace from Hawk, a renowned Saxon lord, and his sister, Cymbra, he kidnaps Cymbra and takes her back to his settlement.

I had no patience for her shenanigans. Dream of Me reminded me so much of a Johanna Lindsey book in a good way.

Review for Believe beliieve me: Their relationship is so much fun and boy full of quite a few misunderstandings but I loved that they always end up talking and working out their problems when they arise. We are unable to find iTunes on your computer. Shut away in Holyhood by her brother, she lives a happy life as a healer until Wolf steals her away because of a vile letter he receives, supposedly from Cymbra’s brother.

Anke rated it really liked it Sep 04, May 09, Rhea Rhodan rated it it was amazing Shelves: I give Dream of Me 4 stars and Believe in Kitton 2 stars. Oct 17, Minutes. Becoming an empty nester has left her plenty of time to write, think about writing, plan what to write next, and read.

Hawke was difficult in the beginning but he is definitely shaping up to be a great man as it is being revealed bit by bit.

She totally wins brownie points for that. While not overly sexy the steamy bits were well done and appropriate for the story. Krysta tries to fit into Saxon culture but was an outcast back home because of her mother, a belifve mermaid, and is cautious to acclimate. So I decided give it a try. A must read if you enjoy medieval romances. I loved the development of the romance between the two characters.
