Agenda items from past

Agenda items from past
April 20, 2010 07:48PM
Hi,

the new agenda preview of 3.3 is fine. But currently (at least on my Touch HD, stock ROM) it shows me all appointments of today, even if they are done for hours (example: today I had only one appointment from 8:30 to 9:30: still PS shows me one and in Details that appointment with a red 'minus', I assume to tell me that its in the past).
I would prefer that no appointments should be shown, where the 'to'-time is in the past.

Best
Daniel

You can create HKLM\Software\Pocketshield\APPTNOPAST=1 (DWORD) and soft reset.
But still experimental, let me know if works.

Did you create it as DWORD?

Yes, I did. I've checked it twice.

Same issue with 3.3.0.4, same error, value _is_ DWORD.

Any idea?

Hi,

error message fixed, but with value

HKLM\Software\Pocketshield\APPTNOPAST=1

I have a new issue:

Assuming three appointments
- one today in the past
- one today in the future
- one tomorrow morning

with value set to 1 I see only one (the number '1' on the agenda icon, should be '2') appointment on lock screen. Click on the agenda icon shows details of two appointments (the last two from my list). Without value I see the '3' (as it should be).

When deleting the appointment from today in the future (only past and tomorrow left), I see no agenda icon at all (0 appointments) with value set to '1'.

I hope my description is ok

i set APPTNOPAST=1

can confirm that if you add a appointment he stays on the number he had
if you delete one appointment he stays on the number he had

and i don't see the upcoming appointments let's say from 7 days in the future

Bump for this feature

Also would like to see ability to configure how many hours to look ahead in agenda, instead of always checking today and tomorrow.

Hi, I am facing a similar problem with the latest v3.3.2.0 running on a stock ROM.
To be honest, I am not too sure I got it set up properly or not.
Just as described by the OP, I enabled the notification booster, and selected to boost "Today and tomorrow agenda".
Things work quite smooth and my appointments pop up on the lock screen as it should on a day in advance manner.
As I have selected to boost the agenda, not a suprise to see it displaying with a red minus sign when the appoint time is past.
However things that doesnt look right to me is, it keeps reminding me in 15 mins intervals, but there is no way of telling the booster I no longer need to be reminded.
I would prefer to be reminded even the appointment is in the past of the same day, but also being able to turn off that particular reminder with a button somewhere after unlocking the screen.
Please point me to the corresponding setting page for this feature if it already exist in the current version.

Thanks

That is a small issue with notification booster for "Today and tomorrow agenda". It will remind you when any appointment present (even if past).
Now, it is not too appropiate to use the booster for "Today and tomorrow agenda" because you can better enable the booster for the reminders.
Another workaround is to create the registry setting on the 2nd post to prevent showing past items (and booster as well)

Thanks for your reply.

Instead of working on the registry, i prefer to have the agenda notification icon stay on my lock screen so that I know I have missed the appointment for how long. So I disabled the "Today and tomorrow agenda" booster and I have not receive the past appointment reminder anymore while the notification icon still remain in place, which is good, Thanks for that.

Just one suggestion, is it possible to have an option on the lock screen to remove specific Agenda item when desired? For example, I have got 3 appointments today:

Today, 12:00PM - 1:00PM
Today, 2:00PM - 2:30PM
Today, 4:00pm - 5:00PM

As I am running late and start heading to the 12:00PM appointment at 3:00pm, the Agenda notification icon would show that I am 3 hours late for the first one and 1 hours late for the second. As I am now going for the 12pm appointment, I would like to have a button to cancel this item so I become more clear on what else I have missed or late for and any up coming events. Below is what I wish to have after cancelling the first item:

( - 1 hour(s) ) Today, 2:00PM - 2:30PM
( v 1 hour(s) ) Today, 4:00pm - 5:00PM

Such function would be really helpful. Hope I am not pushing too hard as it is just a little suggestion as a user who find it to be useful.

Good work and thanks!

The problem with adding commands to the lock screen is that they could be actioned accidentally, and that is what PS tries to prevent. Maybe better would be to have some kind of indicator over the appointment which is closest to the current time?

Using v3.6.3 and the lock screen is showing a missed reminder *733973 (all day). I've looked through and through the calendar and can't find any reminders. How do I find it, and remove a non-existing reminder?

Yes, and reinstalled. Same result, reminder from the past

If that number is at Hkcu\System\State\Shell\Reminders\xxx remove it.
