First of all, pocketshield is always the first application which I install to my device winking smiley!!
... I had a problem with the WM-notification restoring after unlock - I saw the new version of Pocketshield would fix this problem but I don't know what do mean with "WM popup notifications restoring now optional to be always (in (A) > + > System). "... where can I force the WM-Notification popup after I will unlock my device?

BTW: I use the german version

Best Regards SavageDeath!

It is a bug on Omnia fixed a while ago. Getting build 2.8.0.1 should fix it.

I seem to have lost the third application permission after upgrading: ""Keep device on, turn screen off and lock...""
Has this feature been removed?

No, just moved. 3rd type is related to power off, so it is in the + button next to auto power off, first tab.

Ok, im having a real hard time getting this to work on my wifes diamond. No hitch on my Touch Pro, but keep getting errors all over the place on hers.

Now, im in the middle of reinstalling everything after a hard reset. Im connected to my wi-fi AND Sprint Data, but still wont activate, keeps saying im not connected to the internet.

Havent got the 'random' error which i figure was related to compact net framework. Even though both phones have the same version installed, the Diamond kept giving errors, and i even tried to roll back to the working 2.7 version, and it kept crashing also (hence the HR tonight).

Ok, so, any suggestions?
Thanks,
A.J.

Did you try "Reset default settings" from the (A) > + menu?

Yea, i did. Didnt work till i tried updating the software from the program, then i got the 2.8.08 version and it worked. Then it gave me an activate error on my phone with the new version, but cleared up after a soft reset.

Who knows why software acts differently on the same PC sometimes.

Hi,

I just upgraded to 2.8.0.8 on my HTC Touch HD.

It seems to be behaving differently to previous versions in that I am now seeing the native Windows Mobile notifications for new text messages etc. when I unlock the phone. How do I stop this?

I've tried unticking the box in A -> + -> System, "Always popup hidden notifications after unlock" but this does not stop it.

A bigger problem is every so often, I will unlock after having had a missed call and a Windows Mobile "Incoming Call" dialog with be waiting there (even though the call was missed) with Ignore/Answer buttons which don't do anything. Well, they graphically depress but the dialog does not go away and I am unable to do anything else but reset the device. This is extremely annoying.

I think it could be solved by getting rid of WM notifications altogether. Any idea where they've come from in this version? Even without PocketShield, I don't get them because HTC TouchFlo thing presumably hides them.

Thanks,

Richard.

Hello
About the notifications, if you untick that option notifications will continue showing only:

When they show up for the first time (as they normally work)
Or..
When you unlock just after notification booster has boosted the notification(when the green shade is visible over the icons).

Isnt it behaving that way?

For the other problem I need to know which dialer application you use and which ROM, also please send a support request as shown here: http://www.pocketshield.net/support.aspx

Missing feature? Previously when my touch pro was locked, I could still get to the volume controls to mute the phone. Now I have to unlock it to get to the mute. I don't want to shell out money for Volumex when I don't need it. Do you think that feature could be put back in future updates?

You should be able to mute on incoming calls. Make sure the option is enabled in Settings-->Lock.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear. When the tp is locked, I used to be able to use the external volume key (on the left of the phone) to get to the volume controls where I could turn the volume to on, off (mute) or vibrate. Now I have to unlock to get the volume key to work. Hopefully this is more clear as to the problem.

That could have been possible on versions previous to 2.7 by unchecking "lock hardware keys", and if you were using it that way then answer and ignore keys were active all the time (exposed to accidental press on pocket and start or end calls accidentally). Since 2.7, hardware keys are always locked, since the tendency now a days with phones is to have hardware keys each time "softer", making them almost as vulnerable as the touch screen. This is the reason why now locking is screen+keys.
However, version 3.1 will give an option to exclude particular hardware keys when locked.

I believe it is behaving in that way, yes (when the issue I mentioned doesn't occur, that is). However, I don't ever remember WinMo notifications for texts and missed calls *showing at all* on my HTC Touch HD in previous versions of PocketShield. And without PocketShield, they certainly don't show... I always presumed the TouchFlo interface suppressed them, replacing them with its graphical stuff. Installing this version of PocketShield seems to have re-enabled them.

I will do, but is there not a way I can just stop WinMo notifications appearing *at all* like I'm sure used to be the case, at least for text messages and missed calls (perhaps calendar reminders were never suppressed by TouchFlo, I'm not sure).

Before I submit a request, could you clarify for me if to your knowledge, what I say above is correct, i.e. that WinMo notifications for missed calls and texts didn't show in previous version of PocketShield (well, 2.6 was the last version I was using IIRC)?

Thanks,

Richard.

The first time you setup Notification Booster it will enable WM notifications for the one you selected. You can revert this in Start > Settings > Sounds and Notifications > 2nd tab. You can customize the behaviour for each type of notification.
