I found a few new bugs of 2.6.0.1 that did not appear in 2.6.0.10 beta.

1. Activation only works with ActiveSync. An error message "Unknown Response" appears if Wifi or GPRS is used instead.
2. Contact Pictures fails to display for incoming calls
3. Version 2.5.2.3 fails to start after 2.6.0.1 is uninstalled. Must replace it by 2.6.0.10.beta instead.

Which browser you use?

Which browser you use?

I'm not the OP, but the download link doesn't work on my HD - neither IE nor Opera. I use kwbr's "a Touch of HD" ROM, but I believe the browsers are stock versions (kwbr is pretty conservative).

IE shows the "subscribe to emails" page, but returns to the main download page afterwards. Opera simply directs to the download page. I've downloaded directly to the phone many times, and find it a bit ironic that it doesn't work now.

Hope this helps!
Missing files...?
March 17, 2009 10:02AM
I was wondering what issue is described in the recent update as "missing files"? Last week I was trying a beta (on HD), but ran into major issues 4 times in a row:

After some usage, a few hours or a few days, "parts" of the phone froze (e.g. I could start no programs, but the soft keys responded (blinked) without doing anything, I might get a message about a missing file). A soft reset worked only 2 out of the 4 times, but the phone was messed up afterwards. Some of the startup links couldn't find their targets. The icons in the start menu and program folder were default (like when the lnk target is not found), and almost no programs worked. The other 2 soft resets simply froze on the HTC splash - not even my "Safe Mode" program loaded.

In short, I needed to hard reset 4 times. The 4th time I ditched the PS beta (yeah yeah, call me retarded), and the phone has been fine since.

I couldn't confirm that they were caused by PS, and since nobody else has reported something of this magnitude, I suspect I might just have been unlucky. So, I was wondering what the "missing files" fix means - searching the forum doesn't show anything.

Hard resetting is not that big a deal for me (thanks to Sashimi some nice scripts), so I guess I'll try the 2.6 final now ... :-)

This is PhonEx. Its a phone app based on WM, lighter and faster that HTC Dialer, and(aside from WM dialer) is the dialer that works the best with PS slide to answer.

To get your HTC volume back, go to Remove Programs and uninstall the one saying "Hallengreen".

It is already. Just Save PS settings after PhonEx installation, it auto configs.

If I do that though I won't be able to raise the volume while on a call...Correct?

With WM Dialer(disabling HTC volume) or with PhonEx 1.3 yo can change volume during calls.

Hi,
The final v2.6.0.6 is only for HTC?
Omnia 2.6.0.0 is also tested with PhonEx 1.3?

Thanx

Both have been tested with PhonEx 1.3
You only need to go to PocketShield settings and do Save after Phonex installation.
