If you are not used to using a touchpad, you may find it rather slow at the beginning. You can use the recovery partition on your hard drive. You have to make sure that these are connected properly and the one that connects with motherboard; 2 when you putting back all screws which are located at the backside of pc make sure that they are a bit loose not so tight.

If the mouse still isn’t recognized, this is probably a tkuchpad issue. I wonder if the ‘fix you suggested will also work on the s note book please. If the touchpad cable has come disconnected or if the connection is just bad, nothing short of hardware replacement would resolve it. This happened once before though I can’t recall how I sorted it out. Download and install the BIOS software.
